Wyoming Army National Guard Helicopters in Action
Here are pictures of the Blackhawk Helicopters from Cheyenne's Army National Guard Unit. The 1022nd Medevac Company (Air Ambulance) is commanded by Major Stacy Roth. Their mission is basically evacuating wounded from battlefields, but they have deployed to Desert Storm, Bosnia, Kuwait, New Orleans, the Montana fires of 2003, fires in Wyoming and Operation Bright Star in Egypt. They have done all sorts of missions -- from fire-fighting to feeding elk in the winter to plucking literally hundreds of people from rooftops in Louisiana.
