Wyoming STARBASE Foundation would like to thank a number of sponsors that participate in and enrich the STARBASE Program. The most important of these sponsors is the Wyoming National Guard, including the Army Guard and the Air Guard. We are located on the Air Guard Base in Cheyenne, so the 153rd Airlift Wing and its associated support units have to endure the existence of our program and fifth graders wandering around the base; the launching of rockets on the flight line, etc. Both the Air and Army Guard provide graduation speakers for the culminating activity of the STARBASE experience.

Our major corporate sponsor at the present time is Taco John's International. Besides participating in the Tech Talks Program (see below), Taco John's has donated $3,000 or more each year for several years now. This donation is used to buy rockets for the model rocketry program at STARBASE. Each student who attends STARBASE builds and launches an Estes model rocket.
Taco John's underwrites approximately half of the
cost of our rocket program each year. THANKS!!

TECHNOLOGY TALKS PROGRAM

Each sponsor speaks to a class in rotation. They spend 1/2 hour explaining to the students how technology is used in their particular endeavor. Many have prepared PowerPoint slide shows or bring props to demonstrate. These presentations link our study of technology at STARBASE to the uses of technology out in the real world. These guest speakers really bring home the message of the importance of technology in the world beyond the classroom.

Last but not least, we wish to thank Culver's Restaurant. They donate a free frozen custard cone and a pencil for every student that attends STARBASE. The students really appreciate the treat and the pencil.
