Taco John's has donated $2,500 to help purchase rockets used by the STARBASE program in this school year. They have also participated in the TECHNOLOGY TALKS program (see below).
TECHNOLOGY TALKS Program
Starting this school year, we have a 1/2 hour presentation on Technology in the Real World. The following sponsors have sent a speaker (and sometimes goodies) to tell a class of fifth graders about Technology in their industry, business or governmental agency. They also tell the students about career opportunities in their area of business. The students have enjoyed the presentations greatly, and their teachers have complimented us on this lesson. Each organization sends a speaker for one class in each session of STARBASE (usually four or six classes). Although each class sees a different presentation, they are all exposed to real world applications of Technology and real career opportunities. STARBASE wishes to thank these partners for their contribution to our Program.
